But looking back, I can see that I was always drawn to the same thing - people.
Long before I ever touched a skincare product, I spent years waitressing. My favorite part was never carrying plates or taking orders. It was remembering people. Their names. Their favorite drink. The story they shared the week before. How a family member was doing. Whether they got the new job they had been hoping for.
There was something incredibly special about watching someone realize they had been remembered.
That feeling never left me.
At first, I thought helping people meant working in the medical field. But the deeper I looked, the more I realized I wasn’t simply drawn to healing, I was drawn to connection.
Esthetics gave me both.
It allowed me to care for people in a way that felt deeply personal through conversation, education, touch, and trust. I wasn’t just helping someone improve their skin. I was helping them slow down, feel heard, feel cared for, and leave with more confidence than when they arrived.
Looking back now, I don’t think I chose esthetics because I loved skincare.
I think I chose it because I loved people. Skincare simply became the language I use to care for them.
That philosophy has shaped every part of my career.
After more than 15 years in the beauty industry, I’ve learned that healthy skin isn’t created with a one-size-fits-all approach or an overflowing bathroom counter. It comes from understanding your skin, caring for it intentionally, and having someone who truly listens before making recommendations.
That’s why education is at the heart of everything I do.
My goal has never been to create clients who depend on me. My goal is to help you understand your skin so well that you feel confident caring for it long after you leave my treatment room. Whether we’re building a customized skincare routine, enjoying a relaxing Korean facial, or creating the perfect custom heated spray tan, I want every experience to leave you feeling empowered, not overwhelmed.
Over the years, I’ve also learned that saying yes to everything often means giving less of yourself to the things that matter most.
That’s why I’ve intentionally chosen to specialize in the services I love most. I believe mastery comes from focus, and I’d rather provide a handful of experiences exceptionally well than offer everything.
In 2019, another dream became reality when I opened the doors to Beautiful Soul Spa Suites.
I wasn’t simply building treatment rooms, I was creating the kind of place I had always hoped existed. A place where small business owners feel supported, where clients feel welcomed, and where kindness, encouragement, and genuine connection are just as important as beautiful spaces. Today, Beautiful Soul Spa is home to 18 incredible women-owned businesses, and watching them grow has become one of the greatest joys of my career.
When I look back over this journey, I realize the heart behind it has never really changed.
Whether I was serving tables, welcoming a guest into my treatment room, mentoring another business owner, or building Beautiful Soul, my purpose has always been the same:
To help people feel seen.
Because when people feel seen, they begin to feel valued.
When they feel valued, they begin to feel confident.
And when they feel confident, incredible things happen.
Thank you for being here. It truly means the world to me, and I can’t wait to welcome you into my little corner of Beautiful Soul.
